what color sofa should i get to match with my blackish grey carpet and white walls?

the carpet looks almost black but with little streaks of light grey. should i get a bright or pastel color and should it plain or mixture of different colors. i also need to get a Coffee Table and a study desk… should i go with white??? please help, its driving me crazy and don’t have the money to hire an interior designer for an opinion.

Get a black or grey sofa. I would stick to solid colors on the sofa. You can add color by throw pillows and a striped throw over the sofa. I would paint the walls a light grey and yes you can use white for the other furniture as long as there’s some white in the throw pillows and accents like white frames on the grey walls. For the pictures on the walls make sure there is a touch of red in them to balance everything out.
You can even throw a colored area rug over the carpet.
